Body Parts - "D" Slat

Introduced in 2011 and based on the DD frog this allowed greater use of already available DD parts (point, wing, l.side) combined with other components that were now made 'in-house' (frog, stays, bridge, shin).

Shearbolts

SHEARBOLT GUIDE 211114.pdf: PDF (23Kb)

Using the correct shearbolt for your plough is essential to prevent serious damage. This list shows the correct shearbolts (body & disc) that should be used for each model of plough. Most models have a standard & h/duty option for use in different soil conditions. We would advise the use of standard bolt unless conditions become to extreme.

Furrow Widener

FURROW WIDENERS.docx: DOC (139Kb)

Furrow Wideners are used when ploughing with oversized tyres which will not fit in the furrow bottom. They are avalable in four sizes to suite different body types and tyre sizes. See attached sheet on how to select the correct size.

Body Parts - RCN

RCN Body.pdf: PDF (759Kb)

The RCN mouldboard is a deep mouldboard (same as the SCN) with extra length for wider ploughing widths, usually 16" or above. Mainly used on export ploughs to europe (mainly Holland) but also on ploughs exported to Africa and Asia., generally conventional models  (right hand body only)

Fitted on Dowdeswell ploughs from 1984 to 1994. Point wing and landside can be converted to use standard DD parts (contact parts dept for details).

Body Parts - Barpoint SCN Body

BARPOINT BODY SCN.PDF: PDF (711Kb)

The Ransomes SCN Barpoint body was fitted to many Dowdeswell ploughs in the late 1970's and throughout the 1980's. It's popularity declined in the following years but spares are still available. This is the later version with the 1" x 1-1/4" barpoint.
